OnBoard Magazine - Issue XII - 2020 Season

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS • Recently, the Sydes were able to capitalize on a special opportunity to step in and become the new owner of an in-progress custom 84' sportfish already underway at Jarrett Bay Boatworks. • Taking ownership with all of the major heavy equipment already placed, and about a year left in construction, the family was able to make it their own with various layout tweaks, outfitting and final finish and decor preferences. • Originally commissioned by another elite fishing team with international travel operations, the Jarrett Bay 84 will be perfect to accommodate the Sydes' long- range campaigns to the Caribbean, Central America and anywhere their dreams may wander. • Current plans are to take delivery of the new Reel Development in Summer/Fall of 2020 and fish any remaining Mid-Atlantic tournaments before heading to the Pacific via the Panama Canal. TRICKED OUT • The profile of the Viking 66 implies power, speed and grace. Reel Development , equipped with twin 1,925 hp CAT engines, lives up to this aggressive reputation. The 174 square-foot cockpit is tournament-ready and the Seakeeper gyro stabilizer ensures low-roll days on the troll, despite the conditions. • The salon boasts a spacious layout that is grand, yet practical for tournament campaigns and long-range travel, as the Reel Development crew enjoys. The salon also features a day head aft, conveniently placed immediately inside the electric-opening salon door from the cockpit. • The flybridge is Viking’s proven tournament design featuring a center console helm with electronic controls, superb visibility, plus plenty of seating. Four staterooms with en suite heads and showers provide luxury and relaxation after a long day at sea. VIKING 66 LOA: 66' 7" Beam: 19' 1" Draft: 5’ 5” Fuel Capacity: 2,065 gal.
