    Interior Arrangement and Accommodations

The interior spaces of Renaissance are finished in the traditional style of white painted bulkheads, joinery fronts, overheads & hull sheathing accented by varnished Locust corner posts, varnished Mahogany woodwork of doors, drawers and locker fronts with varnished Teak and Holly cabin soles through out the interior spaces exceptin for at the base of the companionway which is a bare teak grate which allows water form wet foul weather gear to drain off into the bilge upon coming down the companionway.

Natural light and ventilation are provided by a total of five (5) opening ports in the cabin sides and two (2) opening hatches above main and forward cabins.

Additional ventilation is provided by dorade vents providing air to the head area and passageway between main and forward cabins.

Electrical lighting is provided by way of well-placed reading and overhead dome lights.

When cruising in colder climes or in the shoulder seasons of early spring or late fall there is a bronze and soapstone solid fuel cabin heater that should make quick work of taking off the chill.

There is a well-equipped galley with a new (Fall 2023) 2-burner propane stove and oven, a large, well-insulated stainless steel lined and bilge pump equipped ice box, a deep sink basin with hot and cold pressure water and more than enough storage for dry and canned goods, pots and pans, china and glassware, cooking utensils and cutlery.

Additional storage space is well provided for thru-out the interior spaces of Renaissance with lockers, drawers and bins making good use of every space available not being used for general living space.

The arrangement of the interior allows for 2/3 sleeping areas nicely separated from one another by the public spaces of galley, navigation station and main saloon / dining area (with settees port and starboard and drop leaf table on center line ) being located in the middle of the boat between the private sleeping cabin forward (further separated by head area and passageway forward) and two large (almost double) quarter berths being located furthest aft to port and starboard of the companionway ladder descending from the cockpit and if one more sleeping space is needed there is a pilot berth to starboard in the main saloon (perfect for “the nipper” in the crew.

Very much a comfortable and inviting space in which to spend the time when not on deck.
